Hi! I’m djenneba, a culture writer in astro-land with contributions in various places. My research and writing are interdisciplinary: I’m most interested in postcolonial narrative and religious studies as they pertain to magic and mythology, in addition to divination practices like tarot and astrology.

conversations with friends
An astrology consultation with me is a conversation between friends about the realities of living through collapsed timelines. I work hard to create a space amenable to sharing, as no chart lives in a vacuum, and insight on a life lived to date can make all the difference between whether a delineation hits or misses. I believe astrology is a fantastic predictive art and study, but I’m not a fortune teller. We’ll sit down on Zoom (or maybe someday in Brooklyn) with some tea, a writing tool, and a mutual agreement to be present as we discuss fate, fortune, and possibility as the fixed stars would have it.
